We are told by Zed Run that siblings are not able to breed and produce offspring. To answer a common question asked regarding the inbreeding tests is, “did you learn anything?”. Yes, we need to redefine siblings.
The Zed Run team says that siblings cannot be bred together, but what exactly is a sibling. The ZGT breeding theories have a strong focus on historical and IRL horseracing tradition. When researching the race horse siblings, I found the below definition at SaratogaRacetrack.com. This breeding strategy has proven true in Zed, as well.
I tested this theory during the last breeding frenzy while building my inbreeding trees (link). Below is the tree I built using six Zed genesis breed horses and their resulting offspring. Five of the genesis horses are my own and one, Contains Sugar, was outside my stable. If you look at the right side of the tree, Storming By is the sire of both legendary horses.
ZGT’s breeding theory has always focused heavily on mares (link) and this makes mare ownership even more valuable. Owning a mare not only allows a stable to test twins (link), but they are easily able to begin inbreeding with one mare in stable. The next step is to solve how to manipulate mare inbreeding in a similar fashion. I can’t wait to inbreed Supreme Polarity’s offspring!
